A Life on Two Wheels
My adventure began at 19, when I rode a humble Yamaha 125 DT from my home in Wales all the way across Europe, through Morocco, and deep into the Sahara — and back again. That life-changing journey sparked a lifelong passion for adventure motorcycling.
Over the past four decades, I’ve explored the world on two wheels, riding through the wilds of Africa, the diverse landscapes of South and Central America, the vast open roads of North America and Canada, and beyond. Every journey has deepened my love for the freedom, challenge, and connection that only motorcycle travel can bring.
Now, I’m beginning an exciting new chapter: setting up base in India to offer guided adventure motorcycle tours. My goal is simple — to share the spirit of exploration and the unforgettable experiences I’ve been fortunate enough to live, and to help others create their own life-changing adventures.
Sabeera
Founder
Born in Bombay, now based in Goa, I began my career in the hospitality industry where I found joy in creating meaningful guest experiences and making their stay memorable. Over time, my love for travel and nature inspired me to step away from the city and build something of my own. After years of experience, I’ve spent over a decade running a boutique resort, homestay and a café, where people from around the world feel at home, surrounded by nature and authentic local experiences.
Travel has always been a big part of my life. For years, I explored India, driving through remote villages, chasing sunsets, meeting locals, and gathering stories along the way. But more recently, I’ve taken to two wheels, discovering the raw joy of motorcycle travel. Riding brings a new sense of freedom and connection to the journey—the road feels closer, the landscapes bigger, and the experiences deeper.
MAI - a dream project built with close friends and fellow riders who share my passion for exploration, storytelling, and meaningful travel.
Barry
Route Explorer
I first came to India in 2004 and set off on my first big overland adventure — riding from Manali in the Himalayas all the way to the southern tip of the country. What I thought would be a quick trip turned into a journey that stretched far longer than I ever imagined. Since then, I’ve been coming back every year. Over the years, I’ve travelled deep into the Himalayas, across Rajasthan, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, and even into Nepal — exploring these places not just as a traveler, but as a rider, adventurer. What I love most is getting off the beaten track. I look forward to finding new unforgettable journeys away from the highways, along quiet roads where the real adventure begins.

Our Story
The Birth of - Motorcycle Adventures India
Some stories begin with a destination in mind. Ours began with the ride.
It was during one of Marc’s many solo journeys across the vast and unpredictable landscape of the world that his love for riding truly came alive. A seasoned traveler from Europe, Marc had roamed across continents, but India had something different to offer — an energy, a chaos, a beauty that couldn’t be mapped or defined. Each ride became a deeper dive into the soul of India — raw, rugged, and mesmerizing.
Somewhere along his journey, destiny took a turn when he was introduced to Sabeera through a mutual friend, Barry. Sabeera was no stranger to adventures herself. Born in Bombay, she had spent over a decade in Goa running a homestay and resort, welcoming travelers from all over the world. Her café, tucked away in a quiet corner of North Goa, which had become a gathering spot for kindred spirits — musicians, writers, nomads, and riders alike. She had just begun riding herself, and her natural warmth, fierce independence, and deep knowledge of India’s hidden corners made her the perfect partner for any journey — on or off the bike.
Barry, the bridge between them, was a long-time motorcycle travel expert who had spent more than 20 years riding epic rides across India and Europe. With an eye for detail, a love for the open road, and a wealth of experience, he had already been shaping unforgettable adventures for international riders long before "adventure biking" became a trend.
What started as a chance meeting over chai and travel stories soon turned into something bigger.
Over countless rides, roadside chai stops, bonfire chats, and shared breakdowns (both mechanical and existential), the trio realized they had something rare — a shared passion for riding, a deep appreciation for India’s diverse landscapes and cultures, and a desire to offer more than just tours. They wanted to build a riding community. A family. A way of life.
And so, Motorcycle Adventures India (MAI) was born.
